Locked Out Users

Introduction

When a user forgets their password they can run through a recovery process. However, sometimes users just keep retrying the wrong password over and over. Unfortunately there is no way for the system to tell when this is a user or a hacker trying to break in. After a preset number of failed attempts (5) the system locks the account.

 

They process here is that they would email asking for help and an admin will check that they are emailing from that users email address and that it looks like a real person and then unlock that account.

 

Unlocking a user

a.Login to GuildLink and then access the PSL Admin section.

b.Change to the Locked Out Users tab

c.Select the user(s).

d.Click the Unlock Users Button

e.GuildLink will unlock the account(s) and email the user(s)
